What do you specialize in?
I am a natural light photographer and I specialize in women's portraiture - bringing out the beauty that's already there.
I also photograph children, families, teens, graduates, couples and corporate. I do not photograph newborns.
What is your style?
I'm more traditional than anything else, with a little lifestyle thrown in.
I'm inspired by glossy magazines and fashion ads. I strive to create classic portraits that will stand the test of time on your wall. What this means is, I pose you for the majority of your shots to looks natural and effortless, and there's a little bit of candid play thrown in here and there for some nice in between shots.
What do you charge?
My sitting fee starts at $199 and that includes a design consultation, a two hour photoshoot, up to 3 outfit changes, and an in person reveal and ordering session. Packages start at $449 and include five prints. My a la carte prints start at $79 and go up from there.

Why is photography so expensive?
When you book a boutique photographer like me, a lot of time is spent customizing your photoshoot to make sure you walk away with a beautifully finished product. From the design consultation to the reveal and ordering session, this process can take upwards of three weeks to complete.

Do you have a digitals only package?
Yes, my headshot package.
For a regular shoot, each portrait you purchase comes with the digital file in two sizes for your convenience: the size in which you order (example: a 5x7 or 8x10) plus a size that's convenient for the web (example: 1200 pixels wide). I work closely with each portrait we create together to ensure you're getting the best value for your dollar.
Do we get the digitals from our shoot?

I'm not sure what style I want - could you explain the different lighting styles for me?
Shooting in the morning can produce beautiful, light and airy portraits.
Cloudy days create gorgeous soft images with even lighting.
Two hours before sunset, or Golden Hour, can create those saturated photos that create that beautiful halo effect. These can be very dramatic.
Do you offer headshot packages?
Yes! My headshot packages start at $149 and that includes the sitting fee and one digital image. See my price menu for more details.
Do you offer mini shoots?

How long have you been in business?

How much experience do you have?
I have ten years of experience in photography.
Fifteen years of experience with Photoshop.
Two years of photography business experience.
Plus, I was a student of a photography master for the last three years and that is where I learned the ropes of running a business.
Do you retouch your portraits?
Yes! My signature retouching process is what makes my work stand out. Photos like mine don't just come straight out of the camera without some extra work.
I color correct the image to create a consistent and artistic look. I then hand retouch each portrait: I smooth skin, remove blemishes or distracting shadows, brighten eyes and teeth, accentuate makeup, and fix any noticeably distracting lumps or bumps that happen with clothing. I don't use filters or apps for this - it's all done by hand in Photoshop with my Wacom Tablet, which gives your portraits a more natural look.
My process has taken ten years to learn. My goal is not to change the way you look - but rather to accentuate your beauty. Cameras can't quite capture what I see when you're standing in front of me. I retouch my portraits to better align your finished portrait with my vision.

What is a Reveal and Ordering Session?
This is a meeting that takes place about two to three weeks after your photoshoot. Up to 25 portraits from your session will be beautifully retouched, printed at 7x10, mounted and matted in an 11x14 mat, and displayed for you to peruse. Be prepared to make an order at this time. Make sure all parties included in the ordering process are present.
You can take home your products that same day. If you wish to order extra products from the package add-on menu, those will be delivered within 1-2 weeks from the time the order is placed.
I don't know how to pose. Help!
No worries, it's not your job to pose yourself! It's my job to put you at ease and direct you. I will guide you through every step of the way, posing you from your eyelashes to your toes. This is especially true for in studio shoots. On location is a bit more candid, but you'll be having fun!
How long does the process take?
From your initial inquiry to your reveal and ordering session, a photoshoot typically takes upwards of three to four weeks to finish.
The design consultation can take up to an hour.
Your photoshoot can take up to two hours.
Your reveal session meeting takes place up to three weeks after your photoshoot. Products are ready at the time of your reveal and can go home with you that same day.
Additional products ordered from the package add-on menu can take 1 - 2 weeks to arrive.
I typically book clients 1 - 2 months out.
When should I book?
If you want to use these photos for something special (grad announcements, a birthday party, a wedding, etc.), you should try to book about a month before that date.
I would suggest filling out the design form as soon as you're thinking of booking a shoot so that you can get an idea of availability.
I have a tight deadline - can you accommodate me?
Send me an email! I've been known to be able to get a photoshoot done within as little as two weeks, and head shots I've been able to accommodate within three days.
I know I want a photoshoot, but I'm not sure what I want to do with the photos. Help!
No problem. I can help you design a gallery wall, design cards, design books - the works. Send me an email and we can set up an appointment to go over the products I offer and look at some samples from past photoshoots.
What should I wear?
Stick to form fitting outfits. Flowy outfits often add bulk in photos (unless it's form fitting on top and flowy on bottom - then that's perfect!). Blocks of color photograph better than busy prints. Stay away from stripes and polka dots. Black is super slimming. Accessories are your best friend. Wear something that makes you feel beautiful. I'm really nervous!
That's totally natural! Everyone is jittery for the first bit of their photoshoot. The middle of the experience is typically when the fun starts. And by the end of it, clients are usually beaming from ear to ear over how confident and beautiful they feel from their photo session.
