I love anything old world and vintage. It’s become a small ritual of mine to hand address and put together our holiday cards with this in mind.
This year, I had a little fun making envelope liners for each one using wrapping paper. Each envelope felt like I was wrapping a gift by the time I got to putting our cards inside. I also hand addressed each one using a dip pen, shimmering gold ink, and spencerian script for the names and simple capitals for the address (lest the post lose more of my parcels - an unfortunate consequence of calligraphy).
I also went ahead and embossed each one with my last name’s initial, an elegant ‘P’. To finish it off, I sealed them with golden wax seals with a gingerbread motif.
I love designing these cards each year. There’s something I love about putting a personal touch on each and every Christmas card.
